La Llorona as a Skeleton Matted Print

This is my take on the legend of La Llorona. The story says that La Llorona, also known as The Weeping Woman, drowned her own children and was then doomed to spend eternity searching for them.

The mythology goes even further with parents using the story to scare their children, saying that La Llorona will come and get them if they don't behave. If you hear wailing in the night, especially near water, that too is La Llorona hunting down some unfortunate soul.

So here she is, in vibrant full color, wearing the remnants of her tattered white dress while lifting the skeletons of her children up from the bottom of a deep blue lake. Light shines down from above while a swarm of will-o'-the-wisp spirits follows them up from the bottom with pretty little fish swimming all around. Her maniacal expression betrays that she has completely lost her mind.
